Stacked, Explained

The new reward system just launched. Here's what it actually means for your game, your PIXEL tokens, and where the whole thing is headed.

TL;DR

Stacked replaces the old taskboard with a smarter, cross-game reward system Bots get weeded out β€” rewards go to real players with real history PIXEL emissions are slowing down β€” staking will pay USDC yield The Pixels dev team is now free to build endgame content again Go link your account now at stacked.xyz

What is Stacked?

If you've been following Pixels for a while, you know the taskboard has been a constant source of frustration β€” not because the idea was bad, but because managing rewards inside the game itself turned out to be a nightmare. Bots farm it. Whales drain it. Real players get whatever's left.

Stacked is the Pixels team's answer to that. It's a standalone reward platform that sits across games, not inside them. Instead of the game deciding who gets what, Stacked uses data science, prediction models, and years of historical Pixels player data to figure out the right reward, for the right player, at the right time.

The one-liner from the team: allocating rewards to the right people, at the right time, for the right amount.

How It Works Right Now

You create an account at stacked.xyz and link it to your Pixels account β€” it's consent-based, your data stays inside Stacked and isn't sold to anyone. Once connected, you'll see personalised reward offers based on your actual play history.

Tasks come in different flavours: skill-based, time-based, and luck-based. Rewards can be PIXEL, USDC, items, potions, fishing rods β€” basically anything in the game economy.

Right now about 20% of rewards run through Stacked versus 50% still in the old taskboard. That ratio is shifting. The taskboard, leaderboards, and merchant ships will all eventually collapse into one Stacked UI. If you're a regular player, your day-to-day game barely changes β€” rewards just gradually move over.

The Economic Shift

This is the part that matters most for anyone holding PIXEL.

From PIXEL tokens to USDC

Pixels has been profitable for a while now β€” their roars ratio has been over 2x. That real revenue (from in-app purchases, Chubkins, and eventually credit card payments) is now being used to fund USDC rewards instead of printing more PIXEL.

They are not selling PIXEL to fund this. Revenue comes from actual in-app purchases. This is real money flowing into the reward system, not token inflation. The result: less sell pressure on PIXEL, and a healthier token economy for everyone holding.

What this means for PIXEL holders

Token emissions slow down significantly. The staking dashboard will soon show Stacked and Chubkins as staking destinations, and long-term, staking rewards will be paid in USDC instead of more PIXEL.

That's a fundamentally healthier tokenomics model β€” you earn yield without the token inflating away underneath you. The team is also actively thinking about how to handle the circulating supply overhang (~50% circulating right now). More on that as it develops.

What's Coming to the App

Stacked launched as v1 β€” functional, live, and already running rewards. Here's what's on the near-term roadmap:

Coming soon: Leaderboards A shop inside the Stacked app Creator rewards (TikTok and other content) Referral system Daily missions (weekly at first, then daily within about a month)

Coming later: Meta-layer challenges β€” complete tasks across 3+ games for bonus rewards More games added to the platform beyond Pixels

Chubkins β€” the Pets App

Chubkins is the companion app that feeds directly into the Stacked ecosystem. Currently Android only, early access, US only β€” but that's opening up soon (the community is voting between Brazil and the Philippines for the next region).

A big gameplay update dropped this week. The reason it matters economically: Chubkins uses Apple Pay and native in-app purchases, which means it generates clean USDC revenue from day one. That revenue flows straight into Stacked rewards and PIXEL staking yield. It's the pipeline that makes the whole USDC reward model work.

What This Frees Up for Core Pixels

Here's the part that might matter most for players who are less interested in tokenomics and just want a better game.

The Pixels game design team has been stuck on taskboard infrastructure for a long time. Stacked takes that off their plate completely. The roadmap that's now unblocked:

Endgame content β€” new resources, new recipes, new things for advanced players, coming soon New user experience β€” a full onboarding overhaul, needed before they can run paid user acquisition More events β€” live ops and seasonal content, all manageable through Stacked now Easter event β€” confirmed and dropping soon. Apparently NOT cute bunnies this year.
